About Barb
Barb Jones is a licensed acupuncturist and holistic health practitioner dedicated to helping people heal and thrive through acupuncture and Chinese medicine. With years of experience in healthcare, Barb offers personalized treatments that address a wide range of physical, emotional, and wellness-related concerns.
Barb grew up in small town Maine, where she developed a deep connection to nature and a respect for the body’s innate ability to heal. That early appreciation for balance and natural rhythms continues to shape her approach to health and healing today.
Before becoming an acupuncturist, Barb worked as an occupational therapist, helping a diverse population of clients regain functional skills and independence. Her background in both Western and Eastern medicine allows her to bring a well-rounded, integrative approach to healing.
She holds a Master of Acupuncture degree with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder. Barb is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed to practice in Colorado.
Continuing education pursuits include completion of The Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program with Whit Reaves, and multiple courses on Dr Tan’s Balance Method. Barb is currently studying Neuro Meridian acupuncture with Dr. Poney Chiang. This is a specialized form of acupuncture that integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) meridian theory with modern neuroanatomy and neurophysiology.
Outside of her work, Barb enjoys climbing, skiing, hiking, and cooking for her family—as she aspires to find the balance and vitality she hopes to help others cultivate in their own lives.

I would highly recommend Barb as an acupuncture practitioner. She is compassionate and takes the time to listen. She did a complete medical history intake and asked insightful questions. She saw the overlap in my symptoms/conditions and treated me on a more whole-body spectrum. I have been seeing her for a few months for treatment of migraines, perimenopausal symptoms, and fatigue, and I noticed an improvement almost immediately. Her sessions are very relaxing, and I look forward to my treatments.

I have been seeing Barb for chronic fatigue and pain for several months now, and it has yielded amazing results. Barb is incredibly knowledgeable and explains the treatment plan; addressing specific concerns at the beginning of each session. She personalizes each session to address current issues and tackle new challenges as they arise. After just the first session, I experienced significant improvement in symptoms including decreased fatigue and headaches. Her acupuncture treatments are very relaxing. Barb is very easy to talk to and has a warm and caring disposition. I highly recommend Barb for anyone seeking a holistic and effective approach to alternative healthcare.

Every time I leave Barb’s office, I feel seen, heard, cared for, and so much more at ease. She has treated me for a sore shoulder (too much climbing), nausea (not sure what caused it), and for general wellbeing. Barb holds a range of skills and tools and she applies them wisely. I trust her completely, especially when I am feeling most vulnerable. She is a gifted healer. I am so grateful to have her on my team!
